It had finally come to an end, our time in sunny Florida was winding down.
After one failed attempt to get to Puerto Rico the time had come back around. We had been planning this trip for months but travel restrictions and local lockdowns in Puerto Rico kept us from visiting the island.
The St. Pete Pier is a fairly new attraction in St. Petersburg that opened in July of 2020. It boasts 26 acres of waterfront pier with multiple restaurants, 2 museums, parks, a splash pad, and beach.
No trip to Puerto Rico is complete without a visit to El Yunque National Forest.
Once inside we spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up all the art we could. There’s a lot to see since the collection spans Salvador Dali’s entire career. It takes most people between 2.5 to 3 hours to experience the entire museum and grounds.

Suncoast or Bust! When planning our stay in Florida we were already new we wanted
San Diego has a rich maritime heritage due to its location on the Pacific Coast of California, a large Naval fleet, and the San Diego Bay.
Probably one of the most well known attractions in San Diego is Balboa Park. This is definitely a must see on your list of things to do in the city and it’s only a couple of minutes from downtown. An urban cultural oasis that sits on 1,200 acres is popular with locals and tourists.
The second week of our stay in San Diego turned out much better than the first. We were on the mend from our colds and ready to explore another Winery!
