  • Ease of Use: The TDAC is accessible through the Immigration Bureau’s website, allowing for individual or group submissions (up to 10 entries).

New Entry Requirements to Enter Thailand

Thailand is one of our top picks in Southeast Asia for slow travel. We spend three wonderful months living in Thailand, bouncing between Hua Hin and Bangkok and plan on returning. Recently, they’ve updated their entry requirements, adding another step for anyone eager to visit this beautiful “Land of Smiles.”

Starting May 1st 2025 all foreign passport holders will have to fill out a Thailand Digital Entry Card (TDAC). This new online registration system requires personal, travel, and health details from travelers and aims to streamline the entry process into Thailand.

Make sure to register within 72 hours before your arrival, no matter your visa status. Registration for the TDAC opened on April 28, 2025.

If you encounter any difficulties while registering online, help desks will be available to assist in special circumstances. Currently, the TDAC is free, but keep in mind that this could change in the future as Thailand moves closer to creating a Travel Authorization System like Europe, United Kingdom and other countries.

What is the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)?

The Thailand Digital Arrival Card, or TDAC for short, is meant to be a convenient online form that replaces the old paper-based arrival card. Its purpose is to streamline your entry process whether you’re arriving by land, air, or sea. This system promises to boost security, help to speed up immigration procedures and supports public health management, ensuring a hassle-free experience for all international visitors.

“TDAC is not a visa but a digital entry form aimed at improving convenience and compliance with international standards. It applies to all entry routes – land, sea, and air,” said Deputy Government Spokesman Anukool Pruksanusak.

Who Needs a Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)
